13C Tundra Arena of the gods

Anyone done this map? its a 3v1 and its kinda hard. i could co op it but it then adds another ai player. just looking for some tips to see how everyone else is dealing with the 2v1 and 3v1 situations

ive noticed if i send kastor out to die one AI will defend his corpse and not attack but tbh i still am unable to take on the other two. good luck!

Huh, that's a good strategy, I also noticed that if you send a pegasus to his location, he will resurrect every once a while and the enemy will just stay there for sure. Never realized that they never move.

I managed to beat this match solo on hard. what i did was used Gaia and pushed to the freyr major story match to get the eternal perk to spawn a villager on a house build. i then spammed murmillo's and arcus come age 3 and made a few behemoths. heroed the entire army and pushed making new units to defend as i attacked. my perks at the time were the eternal build one from freyr mission, AOE hero damage perk, Military unit damage +. i would destroy every small army they sent to my base and also any army they had in there base. once you beat 1 then 2 are left it makes it allot easier. By that time you should have a titan and just curbstomp the rest... give it a try. or the alternative will be to try Loki hersir/godi spam

My strat for every AotG solo on Extreme atm is Kronos' Drowsy thing, Gaia's lashing roots (heroic) and the one that makes heroes faster (heroic). Play Loki and spam Hersirs, have an attacking army with your legend in and a defensive army back at base for the counter attacks. You'll end up spawning so many myth units off Loki's passive it's mental.

Also make sure to age up with Forseti for that extra speed boost.

Solo/Hard : I tried different approaches but this one is tough... I can't attack while defending without getting stomped. That's the only 1v3 that is a problem kinda strange :(

Use Gaia's lashing blessing and any norse + hersir spam, and they are all possible on extreme.

Finally beat it on hard with Gaia with good ratio of attackers/defenders but it was tough for a newb like me :D

Wut!? Dude this whole time I was playing Arena of the gods with zeus because I didn't know you could change factions hahahaha I never messed with it and I was miserable on this mission because of it lol

Did you play it Coop? I did them mostly all Coop and don't recall any 5v1's

The maps are mostly random generated so don't be scared to restart a few times if you get a bad map seed!

truue? i had a cake walk in the last map. just did the same tactics with AOE hero damage with as many behemoths as i could make

so far all posts have done it on hard, anyone tried it on extreme? so far ive tried it on extreme around 10 / 15 times and it does not seem beatable to me, like at all. Even when you hold on until you have a titan it will just get killed by their heroes as they will hard focus it down.

Just beat it on Extreme. I've noticed the poseidon faction is the one that gives me problems. I kill hades(green) and zeus(red). I never let them gang up on. The AI has a 30% advantage IMHO. Baiting Kastor works to distract the large armies since they will guard his corpse for sure. Focus on taking out their economies, I was playing with Zeus for the longest time and using Apollo to teleport to the markets on the corner of the maps reduced their building capabilities.

Exactly. Hero tactic works well on last mission with behemoths. Manor double vill on extreme is the way because of slower rate (Aphro modifier). Early push to eliminate one otherwise you should restart the mission - freyr is nice bait but kinda useless and dies in 10-15min. The hardest for me was the alfheim map (18 i think?) With that modifier of respawn units after dead i was flustrated on extreme (Especially when enemy built wonder and fimbulwinter wolves were all around the map nonstop. Then i realised that i can pick Loki as a god and did much more easily and finished that with 9K units killed :D. Only sad thing about this arena of the gods is that there is only two true game changer cards - aoe heroes and extra vill for house built. Otherwise all of them are just boring %, not really a new mechanics that you can change strategy based on them.
