Skeletons have been removed or altered for the Chinese market. This change is due to cultural sensitivities and regulations in China, where depictions of skeletons and other undead entities are often considered inappropriate or offensive. To comply with these regulations and make the game accessible to Chinese players, developers have adjusted the game's content accordingly. They also removed egyptian mummies being skeletons, they now have normal bodies, tartarian gate is not a skull anymore, they removed some nordic symbols like the rune othala in the spy power because of racism, what do you thing about this? should we really care about chinese market regulations, do they care about us?

I just did.

Some random guy said that China doesn't like Skeletons, and no one at Blizzard (WoW as I called them) questioned the claim made by the guy. They didn't even bother to fact check him. They just went with it.

Because Blizzard used to directly publish their games in China thus must adhere to the guidelines by the rating board. Going with a 3rd party way like Steam bypasses this rule.

Whenever I hear devs removing ♥♥♥♥ from games to please X and Y I wonder, why not add a damn toggle at settings, wouldn't that make more sense? It's like going to a restaurant and not serving anyone meat cause there's a vegetarian in there
