GNU/Linux and Proton support

Will this game be 100% compatible day one on GNU/Linux through Proton?

If this is not garanteed, then no one should preorder the game, and then the only viable position is to wait for it to be released. As I have not seen any discussion about it, I'm holding my preorder.

I assume so. AOE3DE runs fine on Linux and both games are built on the same engine.

Doesn't work on Linux Mint 22 with Proton 9, 8, or Experimental. I just bought it 30mins ago and still fiddling around so too early to say. I'll report back if I get it working.

EDIT: My config is AMD Ryzen™ 9 6900HX & Radeon 6600M in case anyone is curious.

I am having zero issues with this game running on Linux Drauger OS (gaming OS) and just using steam proton 8.0, has worked fine since purchase without having to change any settings.

The game does show a warning before starting of an unrecognized CPU, but I click ok, and it runs no problems

you don't have the issue of certain missing icons?

working here, some icons are missing but runs out-the-box on fedora, an error reguarding some device pops up but it doesnt affect anything.

Have issues with random missing icons on upgrades and some profile pictures.
