They did well in changing it, to fit the other Titans. What I hope they do revert, is her god art portrait, because she-groot is ugly and does not even fit the mythology, or the actual real world representations of Gaia.
Just goes to show that you can never get rid of religion, because society functions like one at base level.
I would also like for them to change Kronos from a monster golem, to a man with long, straight black/grey beard and hair.
It pays to be respectful of original depictions, since it enriches teh cultural value of the game, and AoM was all about entertaining AND teaching, with that big encyclopedia it had.

That's boring as hell. Imagine how anticlimactic it would be to go through the campaign, and from the dramatic evil looking Tartarus gate on the last level, some old guy in a toga steps out. Re-designing him was a good choice for the game.
Kinda tired of reading vibeogane melodrama about nothing burgers every 5 seconds.
Better than Grootella, that stinks of Marvel design and disrespects the original cult.
What's worse is that they didn't even manage to capture her energy and character in that depiction, she looks mean, spiteful even. Not caring and motherly, changing the physical appearance is one thing but that really doesn't work as a portrayal for her.
Gaia needs to be done justice.
