Steam version vs Gamepass version

So I own a Gamepass subscription, does anyone know if we will be able to upgrade the Standard version they give us with the sub to a Retold Premium version? If so, will we be able to play with Steam players on multiplayer?

You will probably get the standard version and once the expansions come out they will be added to Game pass as well. You will be able to play with Steam players crossplatform.

Damn I just bought the premium game on steam and remembered I have game pass. Thats cool tho cause now I can give my acouunt for my cheap ass friends and make them play with me

We have to wait for official confirmation but if other games are anything to go on then usually what they do is to make the standard edition of the game available to play with the game pass subscription, but any other edition like expansion packs I'm fairly sure you have to pay extra to unlock that content but I might be wrong here.

Best thing to do is wait for official confirmation from the team regarding AoM Retold as it might be different from other games on game pass.

In my games pass app I was already able to see that the standard version is available for "free" and there is the option for the premium upgrade, wich got me thinking this was the main reason they made the premium upgrade pack in the first place, already with season pass in mind

Aren't the expansions for de2, de3 and Aoe4 available on gamepass day 1?
