FG option not available. Feels forced on.
Im playing on a 4090, everything maxxed at 3440x1440 but FG feels forced to me. There are some artifacts around HUD elements, around the character and on fast moving objects. DF's video shows the FG option under the Upscaler option, but not for me. Anyone have this issue? 240fps is nice but ID rather 120 NOT FG.. Which seems to be the case here.

Hi ReliableEyeball;

I can confirm that there is no frame generation in the game. We in fact no longer ship with the NVidia DLL that would enable it. What you are describing sounds like motion blur, which you can also disable in the graphics options.

We did have FG as an option in the menu prior to release, but removed it prior to launching the game as it was causing some stability issues that we could not fix on some setups.

The game also features an upscaler, either through DLSS (on NVidia cards) or through TAAU, which you can also disable in the graphics menu (Set it to "None"). Beware doing so can have an impact on performance depending on your monitor resolution.

Hope this helps,
Guillaume.

Use lossless scaling app. works great in any game
Lossless Scaling is beautiful in the cutscenes to get 60fps, the stop motion on faces is still maintained so it looks great! Then just toggle it off for gameplay.

Interesting. I think upon my second playthrough the weird motion issues I was assuming we're FG artifacts were just the weave effect layers over a moving object. And when I'd move my camera around there's some SSR shimmer or something like that around Hazle. Great game! I'm loving my second plahthrough as much as the first!!
If you have a 5000 Series GPU, Smooth Motion work really well, almost zero artefacts

Nah.. Just a lowly 4090 but I'm super intrigued by smooth motion and also MFG. Might be time for an upgrade but the $4000 price tag for a 5090 here just ain't it! I hope smooth motion comes to 4000 series like they hinted.

Its not frame gen. Its the anti aliasing. Tauu is not good. Its most noticable if you stand in the grass and pan the camera around you see alot of ghosting around hazel. The faster you move the camera the more noticable it gets

Lol

Thank, I realised that Smooth Motion in Nvidia App don't work in the game

And that the Artefacts were from the TAA! Is worst than Framegen artefacts!
Im using DLAA anyway though. I realized that the shimmering was screen space reflection issues and weave overlay over fast moving objects! lol
