Who is the target base for this game?
I am not complaining about having a target base everything does and of course getting everyone buying a product is always best for whoever created it because it's more sales but the trailer and some vids I have recently seen on this game have me confused.

I was checking out the trailer for this since I thought I could buy it for my niece. The stop motion was pretty poorly done and cut a lot of corners while the main character seemed to speak at a mental level of a pre teen (not even close to a potty mouth) I thought this might be some kind of kids game for ten years and under but then I noticed the esrb and it said Mature 17+ for blood, violence and "strong language" and i've seen none of it really so the videos have me loads of confused. I've seen my nieces schoolwork and there's more real violence there than i've seen in this developers game and then it got me thinking that this game was supposed to appeal to older people by the esrb rating and I really don't see how it could.

I like stop motion which is how you can peg pretty easily when they cut corners with it, which they did here since it seems to skip a lot that should have been in there to be "smoother" and not tweaker-like and the older you get the more you do notice finer details so hence why I thought "for children" based on the looks of the game and speech of the main character. I don't remember even seeing any blood so to me this kind of screamed a kids game. It's also low on hours to play to complete like most other kids games.

It's really strange to me that video games are being shown off and promoted like they are E for everyone in trailers but in actuality are not. If the game is targeting an adult base based on its rating and trailer it should be shown off more as adult to me in them and easily appear to the eyes this is a mature game not meant for kids, maybe even show some blood that's supposedly there or use some language that doesn't sound so "im almost a teenager mom!".

Thank you! I'm kinda mad this isn't a kids game but knowing the target audience is a great help! My niece might be too advanced for this game now that I think on it..... I may have made a poor choice. She speaks very well for her young age and likes to read a lot. Thought it would be a cute fairytale-esq game for her. I should know by now Trailers for games are little more than fast food ads, bait stuff.

The steam page states that this is a game for adults. Not all games that have violence, swearing, "sensitive topics", etc have to be that obvious in the trailers. That's why there are regulations that classified them. As far as I know the protagonist fight weird ghosts, and use some kind of extrange magic, so it's normal that you can't see any blood since they can't bleed at all.

I enjoyed contrast but didn’t like we happy few. I think a game that gives me this vibe but is more fun is lost in random.

This will be Dustborn 2.0

Alice Madness Returns, Psychonauts, Kena auditory which is not huge i think. Ofc if you don't like the main character it changes, but imo Hazel is cute and has a character development which is nice.

what a boring game, very repetitive. I mean i need to wait for enemies to spawn, are you kidding me.
It's for fans of 3D action games. There.
You should buy their other better game; We Happy Few.
That one at least made sense and had a unique theme/identity.
People who don't like video games.
I see Burton vibes, fairy tale fantasy, unique characters and love it.
