The FAQ states 10-12 hours approximately. Makes sense that it would be fewer or more depending on play style and how the player chooses to engage with the game.

It's actually $50CAD in Canada. I agree that the regional price is pretty steep, especially if the game lacks replayability.

Of course it is. Many of the absolute gaming classics have roughly that amount of time per money. Nobody complained about the length of something like Half-Life 2. Not every game needs to be a big open world.

Man, I had to stop mid-game just to write this. South of Midnight is honestly one of the most beautiful, well-crafted games I’ve played in a long time. From the moment I started, I was hooked. The art is absolutely stunning—like, every scene looks like a painting. It has this dreamy, slightly eerie Southern Gothic vibe that just pulls you in and doesn’t let go. You can tell a lot of love and care went into every detail.

A game that you can finish in 8 hours is not worth 40 bucks, period. Between 8 hours and 100 hours there are a lot of middle grounds that would be appropriate for that price tag.
