Collectibles question

If i miss something during my playtrought, can i chapter select or i need to replay the entire game?

I read chapter select is available after finishing the game.

From chapter select the collectibles do not have to be collected again.

However, the story *is* reverted back to that chapter so that might be a factor to consider.
