I will say that I found the combat a little lacking. It wasn't terrible, just sorta serviceable. But the story, art, music, and more all blew me away. The vibes, atmosphere, and emotional beats were a hell of an experience.

If the sole purpose were making money then every game would be chasing trends. Passion products exist in every artistic medium. Movies, games, music, etc. Not everyone chases profit above all else.

Its a single player AA indie scope game marketed primarily as a gamepass release. Why do you care about concurrent steam players exactly? Niche games can be niche games. Not every game has to be the next COD.

Has this game been financially successful? No idea. Hope it has, only because I want to see more of this world and characters. But I wont pretend to have a crystal ball. And either way, I enjoyed the game for what it is. The experience was well worth the 40 bucks.

Now, you don't own the game, and you seem to hate the game and be chomping at the bit for it to fail, so I will have to assume that you are all hopped up on whatever your favorite culture war youtuber is dishing out. If that's the case though, wouldn't you find spending time talking about games and media you actually DO like more fulfilling? Why spend your time trolling forums and making sure that people who actually want to discuss the game cant have any actual conversations? I really dont get it.

Gaming is an art form, always has been. The one thing most "gamers" can agree on is that games should be viewed as art and not just toys for kids. Unless... maybe... you might not be a ...? Man that sure would suck...

Yeah dawg all the great movie directors make movies exclusively to make money, didn't you know? Like Tim Burton (5 flops one funded by him and biggest credit is for a movie he has top billing in despite just coming up with the characters), Martin Scorcese (His favorite films of his never compare to what makes the most money for him but are critically lauded) and of course who can forget Quentin Tarantino! (Gave up a lot of his possible funds for full creative control of every project)

Yeah because that's the only place developers make money, Steam, a platform where unless it's big tentpole releases or Balatro people rarely buy games☠️ Every game developer that isn't making pc centric games should learn Steam matters the most (when you're #9 on new releases sandwhiched between hentai and regular adult content games you make a lot of money) A platform that despite constantly reporting it's growing install base has less and less sales of games at full price.

This was such an incredible journey for me as well. Well acted, amazing characters throughout and the music is easily one of my favorite soundtracks of this year. Full of emotion not only with the protagonist but the stories you see throughout. Two of them really shocked me, and the way they were presented was heart- wrenching, but so well done.

The ending too was pretty sad only for the reason that Bunny was more than happy to live her days with the illusion of seeing Cherie again. Even though Roux said it can be as real as she wants it to be, (though it would not really be her) she accepted it. I thought that was a very sad (and pretty great) way to end her arc. Shows that some are willing to live with a lie if it brings them closure/ peace.

I'd love another adventure in this world. I'm sure there are other stories to tell and people that can be helped. And again I LOVE this soundtrack. There are a few chapters I want to go through again for the music and because the location was really good.
