Image may appear washed out or overly bright when playing in HDR mode - Investigating / Workaround
Description:
For some TVs, the image may appear washed out or excessively bright when playing content in HDR mode. This issue affects the overall visual experience, particularly in certain chapters, such as Chapter 5, and in the menus.
Status:
Investigating (seems to be related to TV hardware). Workaround (see below).
Workaround:
In your console setting, try turning ON / OFF HDR10. It ‘might’ fix the problem.
If the problem persists, Turn off HDR completely.
Read the comment below yours. You won't get a jester award from me, Sir...
Why are you even talking about console settings on steam?
The HDR implementation in this game is very amateurishly done. Almost like the devs implementing it never tested it or don't understand how to use it effectively. Which is only more supported by the fact that in the game settings tooltip presents it as "High display resolution".
