Seeking Immortality:
1) English is fan based and likely will never be updated to something better anymore, ever.
It's kinda on par with current floating life 2, maybe slightly better, but nearly 0 chance for any improvement as devs openly told they have no plans of the sort and I doubt fans will bother with full rework.
Considering the fact that game still gets updates - this is not a good sign for english speaking audience.
2) Gameplay is solo duels which limits the complexity a lot.
The individual character depth is much bigger but the overall combat feels less complex.
3) Heavily oriented on self improvement and own cultivation.
4) Despite having random content it's more focused on story progress and cultivation improvement.
5) Spent much more time in development, so it's a far more polished experience and generally there is much more content.
Despite that it's actually still updating and devs really show a lot of love for the project in general... albeit only chinese speaking audience can truly appreciate it.
Floating Life 2:
1) English translation is done by developers and despite it being pretty poor - the store page actually has pretty fluent english and considering how easy it is to use DeepL translation to get tolerable level translations - I can only see a potential to improve on that front.
2) Party battles, which is nearly always better in terms of potential any game can reach. At least up to certain point, but for sure massively better than any 1vs1 duel can ever become.
3) Much more focused on 'sects' and global sect interaction.
4) Feels much more 'sandbox'y with loads of random quests.
5) Still a massive game, but generally far less polished project considering it's much more 'fresh out of the oven' in comparison.
And we have yet to see how much effort the devs will put into it.
As an upside in favor of Floating Life 2 - there is much more potential for modding as the core systems are much more versatile on that front.
Which you prefer will be certainly up to you.
Neither is honestly a 'finished' project, with seeking immortality being much closer at this point and neither is well suited for english speaking audience with floating life 2 being in a much better place as far as english potential goes.
