Demons Roots is the story of a plant demon genuinely trying her best to save her friends from annihilation.
A few humans can forgive the demons for the harm they did 1000 years ago but will that be enough ?

I have to say, playing through King Exit at this time, that Demons Roots is ten times the game that King Exit was, but I appreciate Demons Roots more after playing King Exit. Is that a spoiler? Probably not. I feel sorry for Guinai. She truly has tried her best. The creator of these games is a genius.

I finished the first playthrough (and a secret ending) of King Exit now--I can say that the connection to Demons Roots is not that strong. Mainly Geolouise (as this translation calls her) and her allies eventually overcome the 3 remnants that were known to be left before a certain event in Demons Roots (the "suicide squad" mentioned in Demons Roots is Geolouise's group), and overcomes a "birther" type demon that had merged with the blond-haired girl, Geolouise's best friend Guinai. Guinai is also the same one in Demons Roots that near the end tried to assassinate Deathpolca, and she repeats a quote from King Exit when she fails. There is not much else to spoil, or at least nothing that seems obvious to me.
