I remember that I never paid much attention until a recruitable char forced me to look into it, speedrunners also use for make a quick cash and the best if that you don't feel like you're exploiting the game.
Edit: stupid me, trading is not the most efficient but it's worth if you know what you're doing.
Also, you can buy super cheap Ancient Texts in Kobold village or Gregminster and sell them at Forest Village for almost 35k each.
Or, buy gold bars in Rokkaku for almost 30k sell them in Highway Village for 40k? Which is one of the slowest ones.
Since we now have the option to turn off the timer for Clive's quest, you can periodically visit those stores to see if they restocked their inventory.
Does S2 work like S1 where Prosperity Orbs stack? As in equipping 1 gives you 2x potch, and equipping two gives you 4x potch. If so, that seems like it would be easily the best way to make potch.
A good question.
In Suikoden II, the only way to get a Prosperity Orb is from the Guardian Deity Statue, right near the very end of the game. Since you can only get one from it, there hasn't been a way to test whether their effects would stack, as only -1- would be available per playthrough. The Pre-Order Bonus is the ONLY time you could legitimately get two prosperity runes in a playthrough.
I don't know if anyone ever tried via cheats. I mean, if you're going to cheat, why waste time with prosperity runes when you could just give yourself max potch instead?
