Suikoden 1 - Trouble Recruiting Leon Silverberg

Gosh dang it. And spoiler alert I think.

It looks like I totally missed the chance to recruit this guy. I only have two save files, but unfortunately, theyre not that far from each other.

1. Before going to Shasarazade

2. After Shasarazade before Gregminister war.

If I try to recruit him in my first save (before Shasarazade), I can't talk to Mathiu without triggering the Shasarazade attack...

If I try it in my second save, also same, it will trigger Gregminister war and this sucks.

Is there really no way to get him anymore? I am itching to play Suikoden 2 because that's my favorite but I want to see all of it that's why I started in 1.

I don't want to do it all over again pls 🤧

I know you got your answer. But this worked.

I just did Shasarazade battle. After the battle is won, I got to Gregmister then I immediately left by going south and warped back to base. Talked to Mathiu and he gave me the letter.

Don't worry about it, he's a **** anyway. You'll see in part 2. I know it's tempting to want to get the "good" ending, but honestly, who cares? The experience of war should be tied to the experience of loss.

Yea, but at this point, you've already missed the "True" ending.
