Thanks! Just tried scrambling around for 30 minutes (or more) and the next cook-off triggers.
Also learned the hard way that you can't AFK/alt-tab your way into waiting 30 minutes because the in-game time stops while on background haha
Konami could update it so that after defeating the last opponent, we could choose to face everyone again.
Is it based on actual time or time played in game? Because I noticed that if I stand still while I watch 30 minutes of TV and come back it doesnt count towards time played and that does affect farming rare items in shops.
Example. I save and it says 11:04 for time played, I sit still for 30 minutes then come back and save it says 11:07 for time played. I feel like in game time played is only counted if you are actively moving around.
That seems to affect the rare finds spawn/changeover mechanics in shops. I am wondering if it affects other in-game elements like the cook-off challenges.
Something I think i was doing wrong was leaving the game running in the background to eat up time. Doesn't count for whatever reason and the game needs to be an active window to count. I left it running 2 hours in the world map and no event triggered, but keeping the game as the active window and staying outside in the hall for 30 mins worked just fine.
That's so bad idea.
But so, it's 30 min, not 1 hour as I read in old guide ? And we can wait in the castle ?
I don't think you can wait in the castle, I tried that at first, left it running for 40 minutes or more and no luck, so after that I waited on the world map or random towns and such between each one and it seemed to work
I haven't tested it yet, but I think if you go in the door without the carpet, you won't trigger a battle.
