Went outside town... overworld... walk for 5 seconds for no reason...
Random encounter... mobs 1 shot everyone...
Game over... back to title screen... no auto save...
Try starting from the beginning... no fast forward or skip cutscene...
Quit game... uninstalled... 30 minutes stolen.

Suikoden 1 is just very outdated game. Try Suikoden 2 its best of all (and have a way better story with a lot of humorous moments)
If you look for a stable in Suikoden 1 its at the right ouside of the castle before u enter the city.

It's hard to believe you aren't a troll since you don't own the game on Steam and are posting negatively here. Obviously I don't own it on steam either, but it's the combination of the two that make it more obvious.

Funny, that happened to me the very first time I played Suikoden. I also went outside Gregminster and roamed around.
But even if the game is from 1996, we are not in 1996. You can find guides, videos and forums to realize you are dealing with something very simple...the stables are just in the castle.
