Rope climbing game

Been trying to win this rope climbing game for about 40 minutes, and I can't make any headway because I can't stop rolling 2s. Like 4 2s in a row, a 3 and then 4 more 2s. I try again and same thing. It's like playing on hard has made the die unable to roll anything but 2. I don't recall having a mathematical impossibility in the original game, so I'm confused if this is a common occurrence or is my game in some weird section where the die has 2 on 5 sides.

LOL. I'm playing on Hard and I've never gotten anything but first. It's a really easy game because they leave markers so often. The dice rolls have nothing to do with your difficulty mode.

The RNG in this game can feel busted at times.
- I had 3 Celadon urns before reaching Lebrante. Zero farming.
- 6 Doube Jab runes in about 30-40 minutes of farming
- got 4/5 squirrels within ~5 minutes BUT the final one took over an hour.
- Farmed for a technique rune for nearly an hour and never got one.

I've long suspected the castle mini games are checking your combined or averaged luck stat as they seemed to be more biased towards the player towards the end of the game. Try filling your party with high luck characters and try again.

Save before start of the game. Look thru all reward courses, if there is a reward u want go for it, if not close it and talk to guy again.
I won my on the 2nd try at 10k. The basic strategy for this is to watch your dice, best to press the button on the low numbers on the dice so when u throw it it will land on higher one. Make a stamp every 10-15 "floors". If you lose, reload your safe.
It is really one of the easiest game, whack the mole on the other hand...

Luck is in the manual and is not mentioned having the effect you're attributing to it.

Also, I farmed all the rope climbing unite/bath rewards at the first opportunity of the game without luck.

Disclaimer as apparently someone else went semi-deranged, I'm just screwing with you. I don't know if it'd help but I usually let it ride after the snake eyes have passed while the dice are still in hand.

I tie after passing every two green bars. I also don't get discouraged when rolling a bunch of twos. If I'm behind by more than 6 I won't tie a knot at all.

There is some skill to it.

if you count to 1 before you roll you will get like a 4 or a 3 but if you count about half a second you will almost always get a 5 or a four. thats the only way i beat hard

Just played a round earlier and got 10 2s in a row, took no knots. The odds of that are 1 in 60,466,176. If you rolled a die 10 times a minute, you could expect to do so for about 57 years before you would get 10 2s in a row. Something wrong with my game die randomizer.

got screwed a few times with rng. place cloth halfway up and rely on good rolls. shame we cant speed it up

That is not even possible. It was more likely 2 2s in a row and you're lying/exaggerating.

it's a dice roll, not RNG (though dice are a form of RNG, there's no system to affect it (because it's dice)

and @OP, just keep trying. you'll eventualy get lucky (like already said, the NPC's tie a knot pretty much every other time they roll the dice)

I had a streak of bad games, but I also had streaks of good games. The toughest thing is getting 2nd place.
