With mobile games?
Truth be told, I'm not entirely sure. I never played many mobile games in the past. I just know that not all of them get a global release. Some just stay exclusive to Japan.
Keep in mind, the Suikoden Gaiden games were never made available in other languages. So, it's not as if there isn't precedent for this sort of thing from Konami.
According to the stream, the 108 Stars of Destiny for the game specifically aren't gacha.
There will be events where you can get Stars of Destiny from other games via Gacha, allowing players to build the ideal teams from characters across all the games.
At least, that was how I interpreted the captions.
This hopefully is another one of them.
Specifically, the True Rune of Change, which the leader of the Sindar was said to possess.
The video also showed what looked like the village of Rockland. Definitely seems like the Scarlet Moon Empire will be the setting.
You're jumping to conclusions with insufficient evidence. The Genso Suikomaden VNs included a number of events there were both featured and not featured in Suikoden I/II. I'll think of this game as a "supporting" game for now.
Since it takes place after V and before I, I'll know whether or not it's main storyline Suikoden game when the identity of the Chiketsu (Star of Noble Wisdom) Star is revealed. If its Jeane then its main storyline.
No, if you were listening, they said all of the storyline 108 characters can be gotten naturally. However, there will be some gacha and events for characters outside the main story (which I assume will be from the other titles) and that you can eventually form your own "dream team" of heroes.
Please don't spread false information, it just makes anything you say anywhere else less credible.
Here's the synopsis.
STORY
The Rune of Change is one of the 27 True Runes that are said to have created the world.
The story begins just east to the giant Scarlet Moon Empire, at a village located on the shore of a lake. One night, our hero, the village chief Hou's son, comes back home successful from his first hunt. The village is filled with celebration and brimming with hope for the coming days, but an assault is launched, and the fate of the village is changed in an instant.
Our hero, along with Hisui, Shirin, and Shapur, embarks on a journey to restore peace to the village.
In the midst of the great whirlpool of destiny, the Hero's small adventure turns into a large ambition,
For our precious one.
The whole presentation was disappointing, nothing new, just music, stickers hey a new game that looks worse than octopath traveler and is mobile and thats about it.
I spotted that as well. Either the battle scenes are too zoomed in or you really are limited to 4 characters given the amount of on screen realestate showcased. It also looks like your current party travels the map together and may interact with the people the main character talks to in the same way that your party in Baldur's Gate 3 does to add life to the interactions. Should be amusing if there is a character similar to Hallec from Suikoden III in the party. As a side note having Hallec play as Romeo in the Romeo and Juliet skit was hilarious no matter who played Juliet.
As far as porting it, I doubt one will appear any time soon. You'll likely need an Android emulator to play it on Windows PC. On Linux, Waydroid may be your best option to run Android apps. You may be able run it on a Raspberry Pi using an Android distro specific to Raspberry Pi hardware (LineageOS and Emteria.OS come to mind). I abhor Apple products so I wouldn't know if the iOS version would work natively on Macs.
