Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

Xem thông số:
Please do NEVER include boosters or game altering toggles like the FF Remasterds
This is the first remasterd in a long time that actually catched my interest, not only because of what it does. But especially because of what it DOESN'T do.

This here is way more faith- and respectful to the original then these garbage Final Fantasy Remasterds
No EXP Booster, no button to immediately reach Level 99, no button that disables all random encounters altogether, no chest counter that gives OCD, no minimap that spoils you the layout of the dungeons, no f*cked up balancing that's supposed to be in your maximum favor.

Just the f*ckin game how it's supposed to be. An new Hard more you have to commit to, an autosave system that doesn't undermine the existing save system.
Faster battles instead of just cheating infinite exp on demand.
Bravo THAT'S how you're supposed to overhaul an old classic, keep the integrity and just make the game comfortable without removing its friction.

Square Enix doesn't operate like this, they hate their legacy, they hate their old games and especially they hate you!

That's why they make their games as relative as possible,
Leveling your party means nothing in the grand scheme if you're presented with a sandbox that gives you ultimate power whenever you want. Game defeating features that completely change the way how the game is meant to be played for an trivial platinum trophy to show off your micro e-pee
They don't care about their games, they care only about the money you give them and so they botch their own games as long you don't complain, because in their own eyes they are "garbage games" that no one can play in that state anymore.

This here shows the developers have the necessary sensibility to treat these still like serious games and, not just like pieces of an museum. They expect you to play them by the rules with a least amount of impactful compromises, because they have confidence in you.

Let's just hope that it will stay that way, an Remasterds that makes us purists happy.

PS: "Don't use it" is not a valid response.

Just don't use it, George...

This is like people crying over the P5R so much someone made a mod that disables the DLC when they could just... not use them.

Whoever wants to cheat, can happily do that, but I care what is in the game and what not because it impacts me. (no one has the right to tell me otherwise) Everyone else can just boot up cheat engine and mind their own business.
No one has the right to tell you otherwise, no..................................... but they have the right to show how stupid it is for everyone else, lol.
It's probably been said already, but more options doesn't mean you have to use it. Someone else could.

It's not an online game or anything.

I don't care how people play single player games. Streamer brain rot has made people think that how someone is playing a game actually matters. It only matters in multiplayer games.

And tons of older games had cheats literally built into them and nobody cared and thought they were fun additions.

]what about the pre-order bonus in Suikoden Remaster? It's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ same thing!

The preorder bonuses are unnecessary, but they include items that were in the game from begin with, which can you can also sell or throw away. If I don't preorder I just don't get them, there is no issue here.

]Or the possibility to crank it down to easy mode?

You can't, if you play on hard mode, so there is a solution to that already. Besides "easy" doesn't make you invincible so its not trivializing the game, nor influences character progression in a significant way, its nothing exaggerating.

Why do you feel the need to defend potential "options" that obviously aren't required for a good reception as we can see, if you don't even consider taking them yourself? You shouldn't care about how other people play games. I don't.

your arguments don't make any sense xD
in one game it's ok, in the other one not.
if anyone points that out, you cross your arms like a child and be like "nobody tells me how to play games"
playing by your rules, YOU did that in the first place xD

It's not my fault if you struggle to gripe even the most basic juxtapositions:

- Final Fantasy 9 Remastered allows you to press a single button to turn level 99 / Suikoden Remastered does not.

- Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered allows you to quadruple exp / money / etc income whenever you want / Suikoden Remastered does not

- Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered allows you to circumvent the actual save system / Suikoden Remastered does not.

- In Final Fantasy 8 you can press a single button to turn every attack into instant kills / Suikoden Remastered you can't

In Final Fantasy Pixel Remastered you can circumvent random encounters with a single button press, in Suikoden Remastered you can't.

Can I stop or do you still don't get it? :leaCheese:

You care way too much about how other people might want to enjoy their single-player games.

you can stop but I still don't get your problem.
I've played all of those games and don't know ANY of those features.

It's like going to the supermarket and fume about having the possibility to buy Pineapple Pizza. How can anyone enjoy eating Pizza with pineapples?! That's not how pizza was intended to be. Nowadays people don't know what it means to eat a proper pizza.

can I stop or do you still not get it, that NOBODY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ forces you to use any of those OPTIONS! xD

Off comparison, buying groceries is the point of an supermarket.

A better comparison would be a supermarket allowing you to just take the groceries for free, next to the actual pay price. Which doesn't make sense, just like not using an exp multiplier although the game offers you one, there is a confllict of interest what the player wants and what they expect from the game

Though even that is lacking because videogames are a luxury product and work or art you engage with willingly, buying groceries at the supermarket is just something totally different.

It doesn't matter as they are games. Games mean different things to different people. The vast majority of Monopoly players do not play the exact rules but still have a blast playing the game. If the players agree to the rules it doesn't matter. And in single player games it's up to the person playing how they want to proceed. People make up challenge runs all the time. It's not like the person that beat Elden Ring with a dance pad played the game "wrong" they just didn't feel like doing the exact same thing over and over so they made up some new rules on how they could play.

If it's not multiplayer or adhering to speedrun rules then it doesn't matter. Try relaxing instead of getting worked up over how strangers play games that are over 20 years old.

But the game doesn't allow you to play how you want, all these things I mentioned are not available.
Some options are just going beyond the point and I highlight why this is actually a good thing. The new Monster Hunter game doesn't allow you to summon the strongest armor on a button press either. The game you interact with is still its own entity.

I'm seeing this solely from a product standpoint everything else you mention is just a straw man.

If you're fine with the game the way it is I don't see a reason why we shouldn't just agree.

you started this ♥♥♥♥ (literally) with your turd comparison xD
Now you're telling ME how I should play my games? I haven't used any of those boosters in any game EVER. Why should I? I don't like them. But I don't cry because other people could.
You sound more like an "elitist" who doesn't want other people enjoy "your" games, because they should be hard and not accessible for everyone.
Sorry, I'm done with you. Such arrogance...
