Buy the game so we can get Suikoden 6
Just saying buy the game and support it so we can get Suikoden 6 :) As they said if it goes well they will make new Suikoden. Imagine Suikoden 6 with modern graphics like FF 7 remake and 100h+ game play with your own castle building , huge army fights like some Total war strategy game :) well maybe it is to much to wish for but hope never dies :)

ill be happy with suikoden 3 aswell coming,
(i personally consider suikoden 3 to be part of the first and 2nd game due to you having a few of the SoD's from S2)

Nah i dont think they will make Suikoden 3 remaster or anything , Suikoden 1-2 were the most popular from Suikoden games so that is why they remaster it and Suikoden 2 is true sequel to Suikoden 1 and i would like to see something new and fresh with new story and new characters with modern game mechanics and graphics.
Screw Suikoden 6, give me Suikoden Tactics!!

I would be interested in what Konami would do with a Suikoden 6. What audience they would want to capture. But I would be particularly interested if they would make a modern Suikoden setting with guns/computers/armor. Basicly an updated different setting. Not that I don't mind the historical setting. Look at FF7 for instance.

I fear though it would take a gifted team to pull of anything. However there is always hope with need blood. New staff with ambition to make their name and put their best effort in. There is always a chance for something good to shine. After all, thats how we got Suikoden 1 & 2.

Suikoden 4 was almost universally panned by the fandom. Those of you that like it are most certainly a tiny minority of the already small fandom.

It wasn't a horrible game by any means. It had good ideas, they were just very badly implemented. The whole game felt like a half baked experience and everything was too rushed. There's really no way to salvage it for the majority of players short of remaking the whole thing.

It's hard to imagine jumping straight into Suikoden 6 if the I & II remaster sells well since the remaster will introduce a whole new group of people to the series who'll have no way of playing the rest of the games.

I could see them maybe remastering 3 with the possibility of including the Suikogaidens.

What can they do from there? Remaster 4 and Tactics and lose everyone's interest all over again? Or remaster 4, Tactics and 5 in one package before moving on to Suikoden 6? Or skip 4, Tactics and 5 and move straight into making 6?

I would love to see the Suikogaiden games packaged with a release of Suikoden 3; Nash does become quite relevant in the 3rd game in Chris' later chapters. So I think it would work as a package.

As for Suikoden 4 -- since it'd a HD Remaster and not just a straight up port, it would be good to see them fix up a number of the things that caused many fans to dislike the original release of the game. In fact, that it's the lowest rated of the Suikoden games would almost seem like a mandate for the team to make a number of changes as long as they don't destroy the core of game itself. It would be good to see what the team could do to polish it up and make that entry shine.

Similar to Suikoden 5 -- while I love most of it, there is one criticism that I do sometimes see that I agree with is that certain town maps are uninspiring or very bare, with many shops just being some guy standing by a signpost. I personally would not complain if they fixed that up in a remaster.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the only reason 4 is rated higher than 3, is that people found out 4 was made by a new team. If it wasn't called Suikoden 4, and was just a new JRPG, people would have loved its similarities to Suikoden. One of the biggest complaints about 4, the battle system, is even worse in 3. You fight in 3 groups of pairs. Blasphemy.

yeah 3 battle system was ass, casters and range characters where obsolete the way it was.

Wish we got a remake instead of just a remaster. Suikoden 1, 2 and 3 storyline is so awesome but the older gameplay holds it back. If it had modern graphics and gameplay to go along with the story it can be one of the best games..

For me along the lines of the Star Ocean 2nd story remake, Octopath, Dragonquest 3 HD-2D remake etc. Would fit perfectly with suikoden.

Star Ocean and Suikoden remasters both have the old character sprites on new backgrounds, and the old gameplay.

Star Ocean: The Second Story R kinda had gameplay tweaked but the graphics full is a overhaul

Yep. It is a complete overhaul while retaining the sprite style of the game. This is something that I wish was done here. At the very least they should have brought suikoden 1 sprite and animations etc. to suikoden 2 level.
