Buy the game so we can get Suikoden 6
Just saying buy the game and support it so we can get Suikoden 6 :) As they said if it goes well they will make new Suikoden. Imagine Suikoden 6 with modern graphics like FF 7 remake and 100h+ game play with your own castle building , huge army fights like some Total war strategy game :) well maybe it is to much to wish for but hope never dies :)

We got Suikoden 6... it's called Eiyuden Chronicles. I doubt anyone from the old Suikoden teams still work at Konami. I might be wrong, though.

I imagine Konami would play it safe and remaster 3 and 4 first, and we all know the minute they touch 4, the series is doomed. There just isn't a way to make 4 into a good game short of retconning the whole thing and coming up with a brand new entry.

You perhaps and probably plenty of others, but I like Suikoden 4. More than the other Suikoden games in fact.

I liked 4 too. Suikoden 3 was the bad one in the series IMO.

You can like four, but that doesn't change the fact it's practically universally panned as the worst installment in the series.

I did not like Eiyuden Chronicle , it had the Suikoden elements but the story was so bad it was like something for 6y old and to be honest heroes were so unforgettable i dont remember single one , i didnt even finish it , i remember i made it to the last chapter and quit because it was so boring.

Suikoden 4 was almost universally panned by the fandom. Those of you that like it are most certainly a tiny minority of the already small fandom.

It wasn't a horrible game by any means. It had good ideas, they were just very badly implemented. The whole game felt like a half baked experience and everything was too rushed. There's really no way to salvage it for the majority of players short of remaking the whole thing.

It's hard to imagine jumping straight into Suikoden 6 if the I & II remaster sells well since the remaster will introduce a whole new group of people to the series who'll have no way of playing the rest of the games.

I could see them maybe remastering 3 with the possibility of including the Suikogaidens.

What can they do from there? Remaster 4 and Tactics and lose everyone's interest all over again? Or remaster 4, Tactics and 5 in one package before moving on to Suikoden 6? Or skip 4, Tactics and 5 and move straight into making 6?

Look if the game is good and well made then players will come , it does not matter if it is 6 or 10 or whatever number. There are so many JRPG fans , there are so many ppl who have never played lets say Final Fantasy games until FF 7 came out like myself who didnt know nothing about Final Fantasy before 7 so i dont think it really matters if someone can play Suikoden 4 before 6.

Those people must not have played 3 LOL.

Even though you didn't like it, that had actual Suikoden team members working on it. I thought it was fine. Without any of the old team at Konami, I expect Suikoden 6 would be much worse than Eiyuden.

Takahiro Sakiyama, the director of Suikoden V is still at Konami, and he's now the head of the Suikoden IP who is responsible for the remasters of I & II. Suikoden V is much beloved by the fanbase, right up there with the first two games.

The initial group and the creator Murayama made the first 3 and the stupid visual novel ones and then left Konami, the rest of the entries where from a diferrent group.Although personally i dont mind, fresh take and all that

Unfortunately, most companies these days judge a game's success by pre-orders, rather than total sales. It wouldn't matter if the remasters sold a billion copies: if there were only a hundred pre-orders, they'd just end the franchise because the bean counters would say it didn't meet investor engagement metrics.

Sad times we live in. You do you, of course. Buy the game whenever it suits you. Just be aware that if you want a Suikoden VI or more remasters, Konami is more likely to be looking at pre-order numbers than anything else.
