shadow695 - updates are being provided all the time. Go to steamdb and look up the game. All the updates are there. The latest was 20 hours ago.

it may show that it has updates but with how long its taking it feels like it only has a single intern working on it, the game is being remastered yes but they aren;t adding any voice lines, no new skills or features to the game, not changing the story or adding any new side quests, not adding new characters either it is literally just a graphics, the remaster is just the base game with improved graphics that;s it. and should not take this long, what they need to do is scrap that whole idea and just release the old ps1 version of the games just port it to pc and new consoles, im not playing it for the slightly improved graphics but rather the masterpiece that is already suikoden 1&2 which i believe everyone else here is for aswell. best guess on if they get off there lazy butts and really work on it, you may see it by 2028, till then stop showing any support for konami and just download the psx emulaters and suikoden roms.

Konami cant even be bothered to give any kind of update, they have no problem releasing dozens of trailers and updates of every other game they have been working on and releasing even ones that were planned to be released after suikoden, check the main x and facebook and even the konami website.

Wouldn't be surprised if the games are actually unstable. Nobody remembers how the gameplay footage had ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ graphical lag? lmao

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the updates he's referencing in the video is for the steam page - not the game. You can look at games that have been dead for years and they will have recent steam page updates.

not to say that they aren't working on it, just that the referenced updates don't really prove anything.

I don't understand why they have been silent for so long. I remember being later half of 2023 before they put update that it won't be coming out in 2023. Now it's later half of 2024 and basically 1 year later, still not heard anything. My dad loves Suikoden 1 alot and wants to play the remaster, but he's also not doing too well health wise so he may lose his chance to play this game before it comes out which is the depressing part.

The remasters could be a minor project that they don't have the resources for right now. They may have wanted to release them quicker, but plans change when you have to move funding and/or employees to priority projects.
