I wouldn't be surprised if this was what happened. Japanese culture is pretty OCD about getting things perfect, and they often clam up completely if they mess something up. This is exactly what's happening between Shueisha and a Finnish manga publisher right now.

It's not a remake OP, it's a remaster. It's the same games from the 90's, but with updated visuals. Same game, same stories, same mechanics, same gameplay.

Are they working on it? Yes? Cool, no reason to come up with tinfoil-hat theories about random stuff happening. It's the same thing every time.
That being said, all I need to know is that it's still in development. No 'acting' of sorts neccessary.

I dont know how Eiyuden did financially but I wasnt in love with it myself despite loving Suikoden, and maybe Konami decided they didnt need to release this anymore because of that.

yeah eiyuden ended up just being passable. both the duels and the field battles kinda sucked

yeah eiyuden ended up just being passable. both the duels and the field battles kinda sucked

The field battles could have been better (and were in the Mock Battles you can unlock at the castle), but the duels were hard. Maybe because I was playing on Hard difficulty. Eiyuden was as close to Suikoden as you're ever going to get. It sold really well for already having met its Kickstarter goals, so there should be a sequel.
