Potential alchemist transformation bug?

I am trying to solve the puzzle to get through the door.
I deciphered the codes for the weight 1405 - 812 - 46 and the elements are gold - silver - carbon in that order and I added the correct amounts to produce the key(I double checked with multiple walkthroughs after I felt stupid and tried everything for an hour...)
Am I still doing something wrong? After inserting it fizzles and breaks everytime and I cannot proceed.
Any help/tips would be appreciated.

Assuming the weight combinations you're using are definitely correct, only thing I can think of is that the correct symbol/material is selected prior to pressing the button to collect the liquid metal. Almost tripped me up. Hope you get it!

off the top of my head it is silver - gold - carbon I think?

The machine has silver - gold - copper - carbon, the recipe has gold, silver, carbon. So that could trip you up, indeed.

Yeah, that's why I wrote it extra to mention that I have tried it in the presumably correct order. I even switched the elements up multiple times as well to make sure I didn't confuse anything as well.

You're most likely just adding stuff wrong.

Like I said I've double checked with multiple walkthrough guides and followed them. If you have any changes I could try, I'd be glad. Just saying you're doing it wrong is not very helpful.
Maybe I will find the time to record my effort on solving it and you can help me spot my mistake.

Yeah let's see the recording because it either sounds like a bug or you just missed something small, since you have everything else right

I also have a bug with this transformation machine (which i just resolved) but i dont know if its the same bug youre dealing with. When i add the weights and press the button the machine gets stuck, or at least thats what i thought at first but then i noticed that the arrow actually does move but incredibly slowly (pixel by pixel almost). So i decided to wait and see how far it would progress and how long it takes. It took a couple minutes (not more than 5) for the gold bar to load, a bit less than that for silver and only like 15 seconds for carbon. It seems that with this bug the load time correlates to the weight placed on the scale for some odd reason. Also note that the arrow doesnt really show the progress with this bug, the ingots were done loading way before the arrow touched the green zone. I also dont know if the order matters but in case it does i first loaded the gold, than the silver and than the carbon ingots. So in other words try waiting a couple minutes with each ingot and see if it works.

Please try reactivating Vsync and/or deactivating Gsync in your graphics card's properties.

Hi! I also had the same problem, but I realise that I didn't make the silver lingot with the cuttery (you make it with the machine found in the mines - the one you saw in the drawing inside the library) Once you have the lingot you have to charge it in the alchemy machine (in the left side) and then use the weights to form 812. It worked perfectly, I hope it helps ;)
