Shimmering effect on textures
Anyone else getting this issue? Very jarring. Feels like a disco ball is spinning around and shimmering lights on the walls and character.

Same problem

It does seem DLSS is rather bad in this game. I've noticed this from the very beginning - you can notice the effect on backlights of your car when you move to Solis. Disabling DLSS seem to fix the issue, but performance in this game is not the greatest.

It still happens with DLSS disabled,

I think it's just really low quality GI (even on the highest setting).

its looks more like screen space ray tracing

If it isn't DLSS, it's artifacts from the ray tracing denoiser. RT quality drops dramatically when using the DLSS performance modes and will result in extra chunky RT shadow artifacts.

This is low resolution Gi or denoiser effect. Looks extremely ugly. Glad i didn't buy the game yet because it's shockingly disappointing to see using RTX 4090. Completely tired of this sh#t, every single release... And yeah, it's not DLSS, TAA brings the same effect but less obvious. Replacing DLSS file doesn't change situation at all.

I have never seen it so bad. Ray reconstruction can't come soon enough.

My guess is the shimmering is noise from Unreal Engine 5's Lumen...and since the game seems to be hardware agnostic with no mention of RTX Raytracing Options and is designed to also work on PS5, I'd also guess the game is using software Lumen instead of hardware accelerated Lumen, so even with Nvidia RTX GPU's you're not getting any raytraced acceleration and thus lower quality raytracing.

I too am seeing shimmering effects on all textures.

It's the same on ps5 too. It's all over the place. I can't believe no one is talking about it. Means it won't get fixed.

Maaaan, why?
I have this low GI quality effect everywhere and it ruins the game. I would rather turn off any of these instead of getting those caustics everywhere.
Come on PLEASE FIX THAT

Yeah this is such a weird and immersion breaking effect. Final gather settings or denoiser related I guess. It's super jarring on reflective surfaces. For a game like this, I'd just have baked the lighting in most places, helps with performance and looks much better than the noisy caustic like effect. Lumen is cool but we are obviously like 6 years away from being able to use it in real time.
