I followed the instructions, it's not working.
Ok, found out.
Only change the words 'Sycamore' and 'fortsolis' in the layersoffear.lua do not copy paste.
Now I'm playing ultrawide and I can even change fov.
works good thanks for sharing
Game should be a fun little prep for Starfield on Friday.
If you copy/paste correctly - you will notice I added the two spaces to the fix. No need for " " if you can't copy/paste properly. Not sure why the spaces are getting stripped for people. For me, it copy pastes just fine with the spaces.
Yup. It's in the fix I quoted. 2 spaces.
yeah, it's very odd that a copy-paste didn't work but the fix works anyway.
Thanks so much for this, it makes the game so much more immersive and that's really what it's about, Sorry I forgot to make you TAKE MY POINTS!
It works via a "mod" so to speak. The DEV said it wouldn't work but that's from a "production" level, e.g. camera may be skewed, objects won't/may not appear as "intended", the game was MEANT to be a 16:9 ... hell even Zack Snyder "re-made" Justice League in Black and White at 4:3 because it was intended to be 'artsy'.
Officially a "ultrawide" isn't supported by the developers, but modders again save the day. It works, 100%, download it and follow the fix for yourself.
This isn't a matter of ethics, it's good business.
Which means, the 16:9 in game is artificial, exactly like what Elden Ring does.
lmao these artists and their demands xD
Overall the game was fun, my biggest gripe is the stuttering between gameplay and cutscenes, but even MORE than that I hate that almost every time there is an interactive prompt (like hit X to dodge or R1 to punch) you miss it because it's at a random spot on the screen for like 1 second - would have been nice to give us a couple seconds to process OR put it in the same general area all the time/make it bigger
/shrug - I really enjoyed the game overall but there are a number of silly shortcomings... like no ultrawide support.
