Yeah, the A team did it for 3. B team copy/pasted GV2 Copen once then royally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ him up the next time. Blade who? Playable Yplision? Nah, just make him explode and never mention him again lul. B team just straight up can't come up with good gameplay ideas, even the standouts in iX1 (Anchor Nexus and Darkness trigger) just straight up don't fit Copen's gameplay loop.

Working under Sumeragi, and FOR Sumeragi are very different things. Kirin doesnt obey their every decision and is shown multiple times through dialogue to not like their shady practices. Actually pay attention to what she says. Same thing with GV, he is concerned to be wearing their logo, until Kirin explains that they arent just joining them to follow orders.

They havent been changing the story, just elaborating and making things more obvious. Which is fine, since some people seem to really need it and more content is always good. Not sure about the Nova thing changing, some evidence would be nice since thats actually interesting.

You forget a pretty important detail. Elise was kidnapped and Kirin has the power to disable septimas. So if she was still alive, Kirin could disable the septima that makes her act more violently. Especially when the original Elise seems way more shaken and unable to control her two other sides.

Another detail you forget is that Kirin is not just working for Sumeragi. The faster you drop that lazy fan interpretation, the more you'll actually start to get her character. She wouldnt just let villains like Merak go free, he's one of those exceptions that would need to be taken care of in some way.

Who's "nobody" I'd like to meet them, since if you're trying to assume that a generally positively received character with well received gameplay is suddenly massively disliked, then you really need to leave whatever small bubble is telling you this.

Not to mention that "turned into an infant" and "erased from the story completely" are two VERY different things. He'll be back just not immediately, or in the same period.

Another detail you forget is that Kirin is not just working for Sumeragi. The faster you drop that lazy fan interpretation, the more you'll actually start to get her character. She wouldnt just let villains like Merak go free, he's one of those exceptions that would need to be taken care of in some way.

Why yes GV was supposed to just talk down a maniac and keep her locked up in some sort of maximum security prison until somebody with a sealing Septima is born. Yes. Great plan. lol. (She can turn into a snake and escape btw, that's how she survives for the refight.)

Kirin has never dealt with an actual bad person at Sumeragi ever and they missed their chance for her to prove herself. Instead she sides with *wonderful* people like Jota and Viper. The dude salty that Japanese imperialism got it's ♥♥♥♥ kicked in and the weird creeper respectively. Ain't nothing lazy about my interpretation, this is what literally happened on screen.

Get out of your damn bubble already. It's incredibly apparent that people, especially the biggest fans, did not walk away happy. Opinions range from "wtf is this ♥♥♥♥" to "I can't get invested in an Inti Creates written story ever again." Speedrunners hate the story. Fanartists hate the story. Most GV Discord channels hate the story. That they patched in a whole extra cutscene should speak volumes about how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terribly it was received.

No, it's lazy writing. It's a halfassed attempt to give Gv some closure but still keep him around in case the series goes to ♥♥♥♥. (Spoiler alert, it already did)
