Ship Missing after exiting game

Has anyone else had their ship go missing after closing down the game and opening it again?

I also meet this problem. I tried to reborn on the ship, but there was no option available. I spend time and rebuild a new one

that happened to me as well I've rebuilt my ship twice i am probably done for now until they fix it i just filled out a bug report so hopefully its gets fixed soon i did see that it might be better to save and quit the game rather than to the menu so maybe that'll keep it from happening idk.

it would be super helpful if you could share the logs with the dev team. Discord is the best place, you can DM our community manager or me (Sveta)
I wonder if the atlas crystal wasn't in the middle when the ship was left and it just kept moving :') Would be good to dig into so we can fix it

Yeah for sure, if you could lemme know how to get the logs you need, I'll get them right over to ya

obs has a crash report function if steam had that when you got to file folders
more gamers would happly retrieve and hand you crash reports...

Make the just a few clicks away and it is easier for people to retrieve stuff for you
but most prefer the auto generate report and send report function..

my ship not only goes missing but it doesn't always save right.
when i have to rebuild it...
( has metal ship blue print it rebuilds as wood... and metal

but the beam placement and deconstruct file is still missing from the game.
so i end up losing massive amount of resources.

you add ghost beams which cause the game to crash... and you end up have to edit you ship from a blue print, again loosing massive amount of resources...

id rather build my ship one beam at a time from the base block

you also can't rotate on game pad and when you try to switch to mouse and keyboard the game also crash's or glitches out so you cant control anything

same old demo bug btw in the EA version...

My ship also despawned + shipyard as my friend crashed from the game

Our ship, shipyard and all our chests have disappeared twice now along with all our items in them. It seems to happen whenever a friends game crashes. Everything we have ever placed just gets deleted but all the chests on the map are still looted. This has happened on two different islands.

Happened to me as well, my entire storage and all schematics i had are now just gone hours upon hours of gametime just down the drain. Unexcusable glitch. I can work will all the other 50 bugs ive seen so far but this one just makes me want to put down the game

Incredibly frustrating, six times now this has happened. It is ALWAYS preceded by a network error message saying that I lost connection to "Server name" (Something cloud) and upon loading back in, the entire ship is gone, 7 HOURS of loot and materials just instantly gone.

What's worse is that it puts you on the nearest ark and there's no materials there necessary to build a shipyard. At this point, there's no chance at maintaining progression in the game.

Just as an update for everyone reading, as soon as this happens grab your Player Log found here:

C:\Users\(name)\AppData\LocalLow\Bossa Games\LostSkies

In here it should simply be called 'Player'

Then get it sent over to the Bossa team to help them try and get to the bottom of it so they can hopefully get it resolved as fast as possible.

Same here, friend crashed from game and when someone leaves , it locks you out of all boxes, so I restart and it ports me to some other island , I get back to base location and 1 Main base crafting ship, 1 scout ship and shipyard all gone

This happened to me today too. I was surprised the shipyard also disappeared. For a minute, it made me and my friend wonder if it reset the world, but all the map changes/unlocks like completed puzzles were still done, even ones long after ship and shipyard construction.

Separate issue: an hour or so before my ship disappeared, a single cabinet disappeared. Ominous to loose an inventory box and the mats within, but I guess that wasn't the least that was in store for me. I only mention because I don't know if disappearing inventory containers is related to this issue of entire ships going missing.

Had this happen to a group of us. Every ship (3 total) came up missing to include two in the ship yards and one out and about. Needless to say, We're done for now, I can excuse some EA bugs and Issues. But when the whole core of what the game is supposed to be designed around. (Airships). Up and deletes itself on a restart. Thats a pretty major bug.
