Lost Skies

Lost Skies

Can't Even Load World
I can create a character and I created a world, but as soon as I try to play, it just throws a bunch of errors. Host disconnected is one of them, but then threw another... I'm playing by myself, not even trying multiplayer.

I tried to launch a couple times, eventually the whole menu bugged out and I couldn't even try to launch anymore, then it started saying something about session in progress even though I had never gotten into game.

Cannot even play at this point, haven't gotten past that point.

Just tried it again. When I try to launch a world the first time it says:
"Network Error: Host Left the game" and puts me right back at the menu. I never even get into the game.
If I try to launch again, it says something like Error Session in Progress

We would like to hear more about this. If possible could you join our Discord?

I was able to sort out the problem. I normally run a VPN in the background. For some reason the game won't work if I have a VPN enabled. I disabled my VPN in order to play and haven't had any issues.

I will still join over to the discord as well, but this was the cause of the problem.

I have gotten the same problem, however, disabling the VPN did not work for me. Made sure its got access through the firewall, no help, used a gaming accelerator on/off, still no luck. Could play the previous Beta no problem.

Same problem. I can only join worlds but when I try to set up my own, I get those error messages. I'm also running VPN, so it's probably a VPN related issue.

Confirmed it's VPN related at least in my case. Had AstrillVPN installed which messed with steam folder files, uninstalled the VPN and solved the issue.

same issue. "Network Error: Host Left the game" with VPN, no issues without it

Can confirm -- VPN issue. Threw up both Host Left the game, and Session in Progress errors while running VPN. As soon as I turned it off, everything works as intended.

Same issue here. NordVPN had to be shut off BEFORE the game was booted up, otherwise these error messages would pop up. Shutting it off prior to trying to load the world didn't even work, so I assume the game is trying to connect to something when it boots (and failing when a VPN is active for some reason).

Disabling the "embedded server" option, whatever that means, leads to an infinite loading screen but no errors when the VPN is active.

So to play Solo we have to disable our VPNs? Might just refund this ♥♥♥♥.

That is the only way I've been able to make it work, yes. Up to you if that is worth it or not.
