Silica...My Kingdom for Silica

In my travels I've found ALL of 2 Silica. I've been searching and searching all over but to no avail. The only amount I've found was on the starter island in a cave or along a wall somewhere and now...I either cannot find it again or it hasn't re-spawned.

Also...I haven't see any on the underside of any of the islands...A prospect I dread finding because it seems to be the MOST RIDUCULOS PLACE TO PLACE SUCH A VALUABLE RESOURCE. /facpalm

Underside of islands is full of it, it teaches you to feel comfortable with the grapple

Looks like a blue coral.

Look for the blue coral on the UNDERSIDE of the islands. Practice that grappling and keep everything on the belt in case you do fall.

Ive only seen it under the starting island

Silica spawned on the bottom parts of islands.

starting island. under it u find like 10. and to the island next to it that u can hook to or glide to u find 10 to 15 aswell.. all cilica is under every island.. UNDER it

just a heads up but for me some of the silica was sitting straight up into the underside of one of the islands. so i could only see the bottom of the circular base of the silica. it looked like little spots underneath the island incase you have the same bug i did.

I've built a tiny ship just for silica harvesting. 3 squares, 1 core, one helm, 1 barrel, and a side sail placed horizontally on a half-panel next to the helm so it's easy to open or close while not getting in the way when moving upwards under an island. Then, stairs to acess the roof, just stand on the top and collect :)

That's a totally useless and inefficient way of doing it, but what can I say ? I'm lazy :P

I was thinking the same thing. A nice little, if possible, fast skiff that I could use just for that purpose alone.

For the record, I have had different experiences with different islands. Some have tons of Silica under them and some I have barely found any. Might just be a case of bad luck but maybe look under a different island?

I wonder if it's a randomly generated number either per world or per island. In either case, if it is, it needs to have a higher range.
