Lost Skies

Lost Skies

My thoughts and suggestions!
Howdy y'all, hope y'all are doing good!

As a old Worlds Adrift player, i've been enjoying my time with Lost Skies, even with any issues i may have/ bumped into.

Issues!
FPS isn't great for me, i getr anywhere between 20 -35 FPS, usually it's between 30 and 35. I do experience time to time a black line or such running along my screen. Doesn't feel like i'm actually running at 30 - 35 FPS, feels lower. May or may not be a me problem, but many others seem to also be experiencing issues!

My specs are..
Windows 10
CPU Ryzen 3700x
GPU 7800 XT 16GB
RAM 32GB

EDIT:
Playing with a buddy of mine, and seems his character got deleted or over written. I sent him a game invite via steams friends list, he joins, then joins as a fresh character. He quits to main menu to change to his existing character, and it's gone. This new character that over wrote his doesn't even have a name. Fellow lost skies enjoyers, make sure you avoid joining your friends via steam friends list as a just in case?

Suggestions! Some QoL, some silly!

Crashing my ship into a tree just made 2 of my 4 sails completely vanish! Things shouldn't be getting destroyed THIS fast! I remember sails in Worlds Adrift would show signs of degradation overtime, giving us time to repair on ship while sailing. also, speaking of, can we not repair panels and items on our ship while out and about?

EDIT: logging off to main menu, then joining back into my game world after not being able to re-build my sails where they once were, made my 2 sails come back. Guess there is a glitching out problem with sails/items/panels?

Gliding doesn't feel too great, feels like you sink a little too fast. It makes me really miss how gliders worked in Worlds Adrift! I felt like Ang from last air bender, and just felt much nicer to use!

Grappling feels almost like how it was in Worlds Adrift, though I miss the noodle like appearance of the OG grapple, the ability to just grapple onto the tip of a pole and swing fast around it (followed by the grapple just failing on you, sending you to your doom lol)

A way to shift click a stack of things to and from inventories would be a lovely QoL feature to have in the future!

Ragdoll button doesn't work, or at all, like it used to in Worlds Adrift. Was always amusing to me to just, plop onto the floor at the push of a button, or off someones ship as a joke lol.

Ship building, while similar, feels a bit.. Can't describe it, but example, i cannot remove a floor on my deck to reach another lower (or upper) floor. Can't figure out if i can even make a proper opening to add a staircase to move around the levels of my ship, without outright just grappling all over the place between floors.

Still enjoying the demo regardless!
Thank you kindly!

Have you tried deleting the decks with your PRISM tool (5 on M&K)? Usually holding down middle mouse will do it. You won't get your resources back, but you can leave the spot empty or put in a half-deck instead.

Stair placement's a bit busted at the moment. Sometimes you can't place them even though they're not clipping anything. Some folks have had luck with quitting back to the menu and trying again when this has happened.

No, i have not! Will try that out when i next edit my ship, thank you very much for the info!!

Yeah, the stairs are a bit wonky, but i think they were always like that lol. But being able to have holes between decks to get around is what i wanted!
