Broken menu and controls

As the bug report form doesnt seem to work wanted to post this.
The menu seems broken I am using mouse and keyboard but the game shows xbox control icons.
The mouse is locked and using keys to try and navigate seem to respond for a split second before forcing the selection back to its starting point, thus you can only activate the start game option by pressing enter and then you cannot select anything
Any ideas on a fix for this issue that makes it impossible to actually play this demo

Note for anyone having this issue, disabling steam input seems to resolve the issue

i tried that but mine keeps going like i start the game and its starts running threw the menu list like top to bottom just constantly goes

i had this same problem to fix my issue i simply disconnected my hotas. my guess is steam gets confused with conflicting input devices. so just unplug any contol input devices othe than your mouse an kboard
