Same issue, building a new ship didn't even fix it :c
Currently just a placeholder box. Costs 2 metal to craft. Disassembling it gave me 24 wood.
Can confirm.
Also, several typos and grammar mistakes, like "it's" where it should be "its" and so on. Doesn't impact understanding, but it's a pet peeve of mine.
More annoying, there seems to be a major performance issue where the game eats all the GPU's RAM for no apparent reason. I've set textures to mid, since textures are usually the setting that impacts VRAM the most, and for the time I was monitoring, the game was using all of my RTX 3060 Ti's RAM for over 80% of the time. Considering that I started monitoring just before launching the game and it took me a moment to find all those figuresafter closing it, it's more like 90%. And that's one a 20-ish minutes session.
On the other hand, CPU never went above 61%, so no bottleneck here. I'll try again with low textures tomorrow, but it seems like something is not right here.
Controller Issues
* won’t allow to enter text for the world or character. Managed to get 111 in there. But this fails for the Shipyard and no ship can be build
* Using external controller prevents it from navigating the crafting or Ark menu and settings. Its stuck.
General
* Needs text size option, as text is tiny
* 20 fps is barely playable, looking forward to improvements
* Combat and death would be nice to provide options to ease and reduce difficulty and penalty
* The alien crabs are hard to shoot with a controller, need auto lock like the graphing hook
* Night is way too dark, option to adjust this would be great
Overall a very nice demo!
