Some maps are broken

I think I found some treasures before getting the maps...probably with the help of the birds...the thing is...after I found the map it wasn't solved...and If you take a friend out to dig and you dig in these spots...you get friendship points, don't get any treasure...and the map is still not solved...

Hiya! That's actually not possible, the treasures don't spawn until you've got the map. So it's likely you're just digging in the wrong place :)

Do the spirit tomes count as treasure? Because I absolutely dug one up without a map.

Weird...I am pretty sure I am in the right place though....and I still am getting friendship points and no treasure when i dig there...

But there is no treasure there....I get infinite friendship from it by bringing people here...it only works once per person though...and the map never gets solved....unless the real treasure is literally the friends we made along the way...

Edit: by the way...I say this because I am pretty sure I dug something around here when a golden bird "pooped" on it...maybe it was just a coincidence....but the same thing happened with the one at the beach with the corals...

Ok ok ok...so I just looked at it backwards...I've just noticed that....why is there an infinite friendship spot under the frog and at a random place at the beach though? lol that's so random...and it really tripped me up...

oh, i created a discussion on this issue too. i keep digging at the same spot and get the friendship points but no more treasure pops up and the hint map doesn't update.

further details: i had the hint map and went to the spot to dig it. a spirit tome popped up. i think there was some event interruption (i can't remember), but the hint map has not marked as completed, and i can bring a new person on a new day to that same spot to dig again and get the friendship points.
