Two things I just can't figure out...
1. How to hire some help! I thought I'd be able to get villagers to help me out with the bath (I desperately need someone cleaning towels) once the bridge was repaired, but that doesn't appear to be an option. They still won't go to the spirit bath, regardless of wanting to work there, which seems odd, considering the fact that I've found some of them within a stone's throw of the door. Most of them have jobs anyway, and don't even have time to go bumming around town with me. And none of the spirits want to help, except for the rooster who crows when my furnace burns out.

2. How to plant all these seed bags I keep finding. I know they're probably not all in season, of course, but I don't even know what they are. I've tried dropping them in the fields on my land and digging with the shovel to create holes for them, but neither accomplishes anything.

Hey wyrdplace. The answer to #1 is a bit *****SPOILERY****** (though it seems you already sort of have an idea), but if you'd really like to know then keep reading! Once you befriend a townsfolk to their maximum heart level they will offer to help you out in the bathhouse. I'll let you see exactly how that works once you've accomplished that :)

As for your #2 question, you can plant the seed bags (which are dropped by squirrels) in the washing room of the bathhouse. At the bottom of the room you can see a sort of water pump and some soil spots (though you'll need to have upgraded the bathhouse to remove the roots there first).

Hope that helps!

Oh, excellent! I already have that area of the bathhouse clear.

But my friend level is still low. I've started taking days off from the bathhouse, in order to wander around town and chat with people. I've done the majority of personal quests, but so far I only have four or five townspeople above one heart.

Thanks for the response!

You're welcome! And no rush with the befriending of townsfolk. I find it's best to get to know them bit by bit each day, but you're welcome to play however you like! :)
