Critical Game Breaking Bug - "Go somewhere with a lot of sweets: 100% reproducible
1. Begin game, speak to all the Townsfolk
2. Get the tea leaf from Tifa.
3. Go back home, brew your tea and drink
4. Ascend to the mountains with the Cat
5. At the quest: "Go somewhere with a lot of sweets", go back home to sleep (save)
6. Proceed to the convenience store and enter.
7. The cat will tell you to chase the spirit.
8. Quit to the main menu
9. Reload your last save. (you should be on the sweets mission)
10. Proceed to the convenience store.

Result: Quest will not trigger from Step 7.

I have tested this on two separate save files. This bug is 100% reproducible and needs to be fixed immediately.

The reason I found this bug: I began chasing the spirit from outside the convenience store. While chasing, I accidentally ran inside my own home. Upon exiting my home, I could no longer see where the spirit went.
I thought hey, why not reload the earlier save file and try it again...
Loaded it up, went to the convenience store, quest didn't trigger.

I think created a brand new game and proceeded with the steps listed above. The same behaviour occurred...

To Dev: If you have any questions, please reach out and I will assist where I can.

That is... a pretty random thing to do haha!

Which part is random?
I only found it because I reloaded my save file. Pretty lousy that you ship a game with a bug like this. Had to create a new game to rectify

To clarify -- when you reloaded the save, it will have taken you back to before the entire quest began. So you will have needed to go back to the bathhouse again and trigger the quest to find the key, rather than just going to the shop

Ah ok. You mean back up the mountain? I'll try that.

Apologies, I shouldn't have said you guys were lousy. I appreciate you responding. Also I'm in Australia so likely a different time zone to you.

I also have a QA Testing background in video games, (don;t work in the industry anymore).
So I'm good at breaking games ;)
