I hate having to do this, and tbh, it would be better if the loot was simply not lost, or the battles were more strategic. Three horsemen should *always* win against three tribesmen. Remember, tribesmen are the level 0 unit, just a normal villager kind of unit. To create a horseman you need a bow and a horse, so I'd say they're level 2. Three mounted people with bows, lost to three simple peasants. And it happened three times in a row xD
However, I have to say that with this save/reload the game is MUCH more enjoyable.
