Its a launcher that has numerous fixes (including forcing resolutions, and a also has a built in mod installer,

I've used it the first time about 10 years ago and had never problems with any mods, tools or Virus.

I can't guarantee that any mod will work with the steam-version, but for me (i have bought the game many years ago) on version 1.5 and 1.6 some will definitely work. I have also included an editor but i have NEVER used it so just try. :P
