Two Worlds: Epic Edition

Two Worlds: Epic Edition

have to register? *ragepost-rofl*
???
I bought the 2 world 1+2 bundle a few days ago; The individual games are requiring me to register. Why am i being forced to register? It wont let me log into either game; without registration. I dont see why i have to give semi-private information to a video game. In fact ive decided that i will not be registering under any circumstance. I bought the game! so registering *should* be my choice. Just gonna chalk it up as a loss; and, will nevr buy anything from this game developing company.

Not mad at Steam...
In fact, gotta lot of love for Steam, Cuz its such an awesome gaming site.

If you untick register before you activate the game online you won't need to input any personal info.

It's pre-ticked and easy to miss - I know I did the first few times.

All it does is contact the server and send you an activation code. No info needed.

Dunno why they pre-ticked the register option but it's annoying.

Don't worry about writing the activation code down. I've activated my copy many times over the years and have never needed an old one.

It's a great game with an awesome equipment upgrade system. Just be ready for one of the worst english voice dubs ever!

Hey, Silmwarensurion. Sorry you have to deal with this BS. You're not alone. I got the game during the summer sale a couple days ago and still cant play it. Hopefully someone comes up with an answer. The problem is, its not connecting to the server, and using the phone number might not be an option for a great deal of US gamers. The US numbers not working either. This game is awesome by the way. I remember playing it on the XBOX and thought it would be 10X better on PC. Damn shame. Shoulda went the GOG route. DRM free FTW!

When you first install the game, you need to enter your serial key and activate the game.

On the activation screen where you press "Activate via internet", there is a "register" checkbox that it ticked by default. Simply untick this box and press activate.

The only reason people are having to enter details is because they are leaving the register checkbox ticked.
sad this game has so many issues on newer systems. Afraid to say it but if I want to play it at all I will have to drag out my old 360 copy and play that ( googly eyed people and all the bugs).

Bought the game during the summer sale. Got around to it today. Win7-64.

Hate to hear anyone having trouble with a purchased game, but thought I'd relate my experience for those considering it in the future. FWIW.

Started it. Entered the steam key. Unticked the "register" box. Connected by internet and received an activation code immediately. Entered it, launched game, and started playing. Total time: 1-2 minutes.

try download a update for two worlds .... no patch without giving away your private data.

proof for topware is after your private data like wild. that fits to the according ticked-in personal data registering.

years ago i bought software from topware and after a while i got more mails than usual. lasted for a year. cant say its topware fault (i dont have any proof) but i think that registering caused some mails
