it wont let start the game.
when i do it says: option not available while game is unactivated
It's pre-ticked and easy to miss - I know I did the first few times.
All it does is contact the server and send you an activation code. No info needed.
Dunno why they pre-ticked the register option but it's annoying.
Don't worry about writing the activation code down. I've activated my copy many times over the years and have never needed an old one.
It's a great game with an awesome equipment upgrade system. Just be ready for one of the worst english voice dubs ever!
On the activation screen where you press "Activate via internet", there is a "register" checkbox that it ticked by default. Simply untick this box and press activate.
The only reason people are having to enter details is because they are leaving the register checkbox ticked.
Hate to hear anyone having trouble with a purchased game, but thought I'd relate my experience for those considering it in the future. FWIW.
Started it. Entered the steam key. Unticked the "register" box. Connected by internet and received an activation code immediately. Entered it, launched game, and started playing. Total time: 1-2 minutes.
proof for topware is after your private data like wild. that fits to the according ticked-in personal data registering.
years ago i bought software from topware and after a while i got more mails than usual. lasted for a year. cant say its topware fault (i dont have any proof) but i think that registering caused some mails
