Any other suggestions?
Thanks
As ususal, DRM brings troubles to legal buyers only.
Me too! Wasted my money!
is it a case of no-cd?
that should work, but all this 'nonsense' is is a couple clicks (one of them to untick the register button to avoid entering all sorts of personal info), entering the code steam gave you and waiting 3 seconds while the game contacts the server once.
When you have installed the game, you don't need the steam client any more. Close Steam (No taskbar actions for Steam) Start the game and it will start. In the background no Steam is starting to proove that it is yours. The code is used for your PC and installed on your PC. The registration routine, too. Normal it is that the publishers and developers want to see money for their hard work. Some protection against piracy they must set in to win. There is nothing against a tryout, some hours to play, or an area, where you can be with your char. The demo version would fullfill this. You have taken the full version, like you have bought it. This program is stick to your PC. Now how to give the license away, by letting the devs know, that you have only tried that program out. Playing this program through and then want to give the program back, because there is no more interest on it, would make the devs run out of money faster than you can say "Thanks for playing the program through and getting the money back." When you only got the demo version, you could try everything out as the devs want. When you want more, then let the devs see the money.
Demos should give you some kind of hunger for the game holding you in an area, where you can try this out (You are then blind for the rest of the area.). The full version doesn't stop there. Your hunger is then satisfied. What reason you have to buy this game any more? I don't think, that you would have any hunger more. No need to buy this game. Unfair I think.
Try to tell your problem via telephone and hopefully you will get your own fair code.
Okay I played this on a friends steam and had the problem you mentioned. Since I got my own copy and then tried to play it on the same PC. Then I deleted the folder you mentioned using that program, and now I put in my own steam serial number.
The problem is after I did that...for some reason when I connected I'm still on my brothers muliplayer account it seems. And my singleplayer game is still there...
EDIT
I typed in my serial number and then when I try to create a new account. It says that I am still connected to the other one!
Exit the game and restart in the game mode and things should go all right
Get into the game, network - enter serial, choose internet activation - success, got another key that " i will need later"
Aaaaand when i choose any server it don`t want to connect, writes me that my serial number wrong
