ACTIVATION PROBLEM FIX, READ HERE
If you have activation problems, you probably had this game installed earlier (pirated copy, gog copy, or game bought on CD) and previous installation made registry settings with different cd key. If you run game trough steam and you can`t activate via internet it`s because game got key from some old registry file. The CD key that steam gives you is 100% correct, so all you need to do is to delete old registry setting and you will be prompted at game start to enter cdkey, you enter key witch steam gives you, and then it activates without problems via internet.

To delete old registry settings run regedit (in windows 7 and older: START>run>regedit
And go to:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Reality Pump]

and just delete whole Reality pump folder (it will delete saved games, game settings, and old cdkey)

Now run game, enter STEAM cd key when asked, select user and just click activation (you can uncheck small box with registering to not send your personal information, its only made to spam you with mail, you will still activate game)

It works for 90% ppl who had registration problems, the rest 10% are firewall issues.

Hope it helps, good luck, sry for bad englando ;] fell free to copy pasterino to your friends

Btw you can probably just delete serial key entry, but I just deleted whole reality pump folder to make sure.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\reality pump\twoworlds\SerialKey

No, and no. I've never pirated this game, but I thought I'd try your fix. My game freezes on the screen that says, "Enter your serial number." I can see the boxes to enter the serial number, I just can't enter anything. Mouse works, keyboard doesn't. I deleted the key in question, no change. I also disabled my firewall completely, no change.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Oh. No chances to activate the game for me anyway. Seems I'm to get a pirated copy to be albe to play.
As ususal, DRM brings troubles to legal buyers only. :snaggletooth:

So, I've never pirated this game or owned it on this computer. Whenever I open this game it crashes and says it has stopped working within seconds. I tried what you suggested and still no good.

anyone know the latest/best way to play without all this activation nonsense ?
is it a case of no-cd?

that should work, but all this 'nonsense' is is a couple clicks (one of them to untick the register button to avoid entering all sorts of personal info), entering the code steam gave you and waiting 3 seconds while the game contacts the server once.

I recently reinstalled my OS and after that the game activation suddenly worked... weird.

When you have installed the game, you don't need the steam client any more. Close Steam (No taskbar actions for Steam) Start the game and it will start. In the background no Steam is starting to proove that it is yours. The code is used for your PC and installed on your PC. The registration routine, too. Normal it is that the publishers and developers want to see money for their hard work. Some protection against piracy they must set in to win. There is nothing against a tryout, some hours to play, or an area, where you can be with your char. The demo version would fullfill this. You have taken the full version, like you have bought it. This program is stick to your PC. Now how to give the license away, by letting the devs know, that you have only tried that program out. Playing this program through and then want to give the program back, because there is no more interest on it, would make the devs run out of money faster than you can say "Thanks for playing the program through and getting the money back." When you only got the demo version, you could try everything out as the devs want. When you want more, then let the devs see the money.
Demos should give you some kind of hunger for the game holding you in an area, where you can try this out (You are then blind for the rest of the area.). The full version doesn't stop there. Your hunger is then satisfied. What reason you have to buy this game any more? I don't think, that you would have any hunger more. No need to buy this game. Unfair I think.

Try to tell your problem via telephone and hopefully you will get your own fair code.

Okay I played this on a friends steam and had the problem you mentioned. Since I got my own copy and then tried to play it on the same PC. Then I deleted the folder you mentioned using that program, and now I put in my own steam serial number.

The problem is after I did that...for some reason when I connected I'm still on my brothers muliplayer account it seems. And my singleplayer game is still there...

EDIT

I typed in my serial number and then when I try to create a new account. It says that I am still connected to the other one!

forgive me if I mention something that is now comon knowledge. When you start the game the FIRST time click on safe mode THEN interface and check the box at the top of the list (Hardware)
Exit the game and restart in the game mode and things should go all right

It doesn't work for me. I had a clean installation of Windows, so I installed TWI for the first time, and it still says invalid key.
