glad to be of some help, hope you do enjoy the game!
As for Mods I'd recommend searching for the Two Worlds Control Panel.
This makes mod installation a simple one-click affair. It also contains a few bug/graphics fixes and optimisations. It helps a lot. You can also use an Xbox 360 pad via the TWCP.
Mods I'd recommend:
The MagesHouse mod. It gives you a house right outside the starter area, with a couple of storage chests.
The Armor Limitation Removal mod. It's not called that, but what it does is remove the silly "Can't wear armor and use a bow/swim" rubbish.
There are lots of other mods in the Control Panel, but those are the ones I went with. Your mileage may vary.
Totally agree with that.
Reminds me of mid90`s when we got crappy localisations in Europe, so most people prefered th e original English/US versions. Can`t help myself I have to grin that US/UK got the same problem. Perhaps we all should listen to the Czech/russion dialoges - maybe BADASS ... ^^
Reason being, it has a tab in it that directly links to the various mods. Each even has a handy description so it's child's play to choose which ones you like the sound of. My earlier post has a few you might want to try.
TWCP will also install them for you safely, so you won't get errors.
This screenshot here is a bit more illustrative: http://deutschefrauen.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/twowoldcp.jpg
Please download the TWCP from the proper site though, just in case: http://www.insidetwoworlds.com/local_links.php?catid=13
Thanks for your post,im enjoying the game a lot better with the TWCP.
There is a lot of content and fine tweaks in it, thanks again.
Also, any nVidia card users will need the old PhysX Drivers. That's why you're always crashing. D'oh!
Please bear in mind THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE on my computer, I don't argue some other people may have completely different results.
- It's nice there are many options and mods available directly from the control panel, but I found out that when I downloaded a weapon and armor mods, none of them worked. At least I did not see any change on my character and neither could I find anywhere the new armor he was supposed to have.
- There is support for XB360 controller, which is also nice. Except that you can only control your character's melee attacks with it. Your magic attack/item use menu somehow disappears so you can't use it. You can also bring up the map/equipment menu with the controller but the navigation in that using the controller is rather clumsy (which is not anybody's fault let me add. It's only natural that this is better navigated using mouse and buttons). Also if you choose the XB360 controller at the start of the game, the mouse pointer is annoyingly still visible on screen in the form of a rotating wheel (like the mouse is working on something) and you have to move it to the corner so it doesn't obstruct the view. So, it seems this feature would need more work though I doubt that it is still supported by the devs...
These are my main gripes with what I have so far tested of the TW Control Panel. I haven't tested many other functions, so don't have experience with those.
Do you have an index list or a mods webpage reference where to check what does every mod?
I mean to choose which ones to use according with personal gameplay.
Thank you.
