You just need to do some tricks to play with friends:

No not now, you need to register and activate youre Game Produkt, you become a code and than see all available Servers and can join. And Play with 100 Players....

Seems like the multiplayers are still up despite no one actively playing them, tested it for ya. Just gotta re-enter ya product key and register and stuff again. Can only connect to the Europe server tho, the other two don't work. Also the issue of Port Forwarding and all that since its direct connect past the lobby servers, but thats always been an issue.

i had deleted registry and reinstalled everything but cant connect, says invalid ip.
