Can't start/join a multiplayer game

I was able to join a solo multiplayer game once but I haven't been able to do it again. Am I doing something wrong because I have pressed every button on my Xbox controller and no matter what I cannot host or join a multplayer game.

I downloaded the application and used it on the .exe file, sorry i'm just waking up and i know you are knowledgeable about all this. I even turned that one thing off and on (i'd have to look) but you told someone else to try that as well. Unfortunately nothing seems to fix it.

Did you create a desktop icon from your installed folder (.../steam/steamapps/common/Two Worlds Epic Edition/...)?
It does not work with the icon created by steam...

No, I didn't. How would that help playing multiplayer? Sorry, I don't mean to be difficult or anything. It's just that I've never ran into this problem. How exactly would I go about this? Because tbh I'm not understanding this step.

As I said above: you can't patch a desktop icon (with the 4GB patch) created from Steam. It does not work.

Go to your folder where the game is installed (path see above) and create a desktop icon from this folder instead (right click on Two Worlds.exe or Two Worlds_Radeon.exe and send it to your desktop). Now patch the .exe with the 4GB patch. As long as your Steam library is running in the background and you're onlinine (Steam -> go off/online) it will be okay.

Again as I said above: You need the patch to host a multiplayer lobby, otherwise the game will crash.

Ah, I see now. I just installed the patch in the steam folder containing the .exe file. I'll try your recommendation. Thanks for helping me out by the way.

Ok, I did what you said and still nothing happened. Although, now I have a backup RAR file that was created.

So, just to clarify, I can go into the lobby but whenever I try to create a session it just cancels it out instead of loading the mission. Basically I'm perpetually stuck in the lobby just to run around chat with whoever else is unlucky enough to have the same issue.
