Crashing when saving game

I have top of the line pc, windows 11, its not a hardware issue, graphics updated, compatibility set to windows 7, verified integrity.

I've narrowed it down to one thing, when going to the save game location the folder is set to read only, when I go to properties and uncheck read only it never saves... If I were to uncheck read only and then go right back into folder properties, read only will be checked again in that folder. When I uncheck read only it will only let me save the game ONCE, when it autosaves again or I manually save again the game will crash....does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

This is also happens when I run the direct Exe as admin...

*) The location of your savegames should be: c:\\user\ .... \ saved games\Two Worlds Saves\ ...
Look there.
*) Turn off autosave. it's the most common reason why this game crases
*) Finally download and install the 4GB patch on your computer. It's not only recommanded for this game, you can use it for other games too, specially when using/playing (with) mods. (eg. Lengend of Grimrock I & II, Dragon Age, Neverwinter Nights, Darksouls series, and so on ...)

HiFive: I've looked at that guys post and it didnt seem to fix my issue, when trying to install and use WineD3D like he said my game would insta crash or just not open so I gave up on that, I have just tried using RPG's link and used the Exe for the Two worlds Exe, i hope I did that right and I also turned off auto save, I can save allot more but Im still going to see if that truly fixed my issue or not. I'll update this post again.

Thanks, for keeping us updated. It's always good to have other people's solutions on this forum so new players can find the fixes they need.

Thanks for keeping us up to date. I hope you created a desctop icon from your installed folder (c:\\ ... steam\steamapps\common\Two Worlds\ ...) and used the 4GB patch on that. The patch does not work with the Steam icon.
