Can someone help!!!

I have been playing Two Worlds Epic Edition and have logged in 37 hrs of play and today I went to play and all my history is gone!!! The game starts fine and it offers to start a new char for me but as for my one I had made and been working with, all gone!!! Is there any way to get this back, and if I did make a new char how do I know this will not happen again!!! I mean I booked 37 hrs of wandering and killing and for what!!!!??? To do it all over again??!! I do not want to start again and have it do this to me again!!! Any suggestions??

It's because the game was updated with Steam Cloud support and they changed the savegame directory.

ummmm I cannot find a saved part ... all I can find all has the same time and date stamp, there is nothing with anything older. OMG my game is gone ... my sister said to contact tech which I will try and track down, maybe they can figure out how to get my game back... I cannot believe their update killed my whole game

I tried... omg I tried.. I see files that say saved I cannot get them to read I have tried adding them they will not take they are not named... I have asked for tech help but have not heard back but guess they need like 48 hrs so still have to wait

There's also a file named "_files_.txt" which you need to copy over, it contains all the saves names, so it's important.

It might also be useful to note that the folder was named "TwoWorlds Files" before the update, and now it's "Two Worlds Saves".

well once again did not work ... omg I can't stop crying why is it tech has not gotten back to me and why is it some have so easily gotten the game back and I sit here without???

to
C:\Users\xxxxx\Saved Games\Two Worlds Saves

my_magic8ball i found my old-saves game two worlds in my documents --> TwoWorlds Files --> players --> your nick --> single... You must copy folder "players" in "local disk C --> users --> your nick --> saved games --> Two Worlds Saves" In fact, within this folder, ought to have only "players" --> default...
