No sound in Two Worlds

Hi.

I have a problem. I bought a Two Worlds Epic Edition, downloaded and wanted to start it, it didnt work, because it was missing the x3daudio1_1 .dll file. Game is working ok after i download this file and copied to game folder but there is no sound in menu or in game.

Have u had this kinda of problem? Could u help me fix it? Thanks in advance.

I have updated everything and my OS is Windows XP Home Edition SP 3

Seriously? If anything Windows XP is THE PERFECT OS to play the game on, as it was the OS the game was designed around when it first came out... Many games pre 2008 run PERFECTLY on Windows XP, with several increases in performance to boot. This is like saying you got a problem playing Populous (the first one) on Windows 98? Format and load Windows 8, much better then...

Your error message is usually in relation to DirectX, if you haven't already I'd suggest you install the version that came with the game (there is usually some form of prerequisites folder), and see if that doesn't work for you. Even though you may have had DirectX installed, games are very sensitive to which exact one, version of files, etc.

Please try the following:

Browse to

C:\WINDOWS\system32\

Find the following files:

• x3daudio1_0.dll
  
• x3daudio1_1.dll
  
• x3daudio1_2.dll

And rename each one to have a .old at the end of .dll. Then download and install this[www.microsoft.com] version of DirectX.

Let me know how that goes.
