Did they Patch the Gandohar villager glitch/exploit?

this is my first playthrough so I decided to try and do that "finish the game in 20 minutes" thing where you get the villagers to smack gandohar to death but it looks like he's taking no damage and winning? So did the game get patched or was it never really a thing in the first place?

I just tried it and he seems invincible, while all the villagers died in about 10 mins.

I remember this happening as far back as when the game first came out.

Do you know that Gandohar is story important. To kill him would mean, that you can't end up the game. The did nothing wrong. There is NO "glitch/exploit" like that. This is done right.

Yes, there was a glitch like that, I tried it to see it for myself and failed to do it, hence why I asked.
I'm quite aware that Gandohar is story important, hence why the villagers killing Gandohar is a GLITCH and not a FEATURE.
