I would start using lower resolutions, what are the results. Do you use a notebook, then it is more difficult, than it seams.
We would love to know more about your configuration.
As this problem consists of graphic, you should tell us more about your graphic card. Your CPU infos would help us to get deeper into your problem. The graphic card isn't the only processor, who calculats the picture. A strong GPU and a weak CPU doesn't give good pictures nor high FPS. A strong CPU and a weak GPU does the same, but give the GPU more stability, because the CPU calculates beside, resulting in a little bit better FPS.
1. start TW
2.run DX9
3.start in safe mode You should use #3 as it will put you in the setup screen and you can choose the resolution. remoive the check box "windowed mode" and choose "hardware Ccussor" You can choose from a list of what you want .
These are unstabilizing up to dangerous to do that. These options are the last one, even if they stay premier in the topic.
This fixed the issue.
- game normaly starts in 1024x768
- change to the lowerst 16:9 ratio - 1600x900
- apply changes
- game switch to the 16:9 ratio without a crash
- now, switch to your preffered resolution, mine was 1920x1080
it works that way. I know it is old topic but you guys still have this problem and somehow this fix the issue
