Two Worlds: Epic Edition

Two Worlds: Epic Edition

when does magic become viable?
i would first like to say i really enjoy the game and right now my character is at lvl 16. i put about 20 points into wisdom and i have a fire staff and a few fire spells but it is just way easier to use my two handed sword and use my mana pool for healing.

i have saved up skill points to try higher level spells out but even some of the 3rd circle spells arent doing enough damage. i havent tried the ice spells and they do sound nice.

any advice? should i keep putting points into wisdom and just keep grinding till i get better staffs/spells?

If you prefer to use your Two handed sword go for it. i personally have a similar setup, i use a two handed sword along with healing spells. as for your spell damage problem, you can stack the same spell on top of eachother to increase damage and effectiveness. however it will increase mana usage. for my character i use 2 healing spells stacked on top of each other. Spell boosters are another way of getting the most out of your spells aswell. as for putting skill points into wisdom, i'm pretty sure that only increases your mana pool. as your mana pool increases you'll have to consider going with mana regeneration items (for example enchanted rings and amulets) i hope i've been of some help in this matter.

yeah this was helpfull so ty for the reply. i wasn't aware you could stack spells so i might dabble a bit with magic more :)
the more points you invest into the different magic schools, the more damage the spells of those schools will cause

tiny spoiler: invest into Necromancy, you'll get tons of cards later in the game

How do you know which spell the bousters are affecting

you'll know what spell the boosters are affecting when you put them in the booster slots above the selected magick card slots.
I have noticed spell damage to be quite low, but discovered very useful spells to address this: concentration (air spell) and overpower (fire spell). If you cast concentration first, it amplifies the damage of your next attack spell casting by over 500% (mine is as 740% at the moment).

Using this spell, along with one of the undead attack spells (also air element) or something like Earth Eruption (earth element, obviously), you can kill almost any enemy instantly on hard difficulty. I'm sure there are many more exciting combinations to explore. I am maxing out just Air and Earth on this character. (Almost max necromancy but haven't used it much yet... will explore that next.)

Earth element also has useful things like Chains and Grappling Ivy... these are invaluable as they immobilize your targets and thereby give you time to cast your preparation or protection spells or let you handle larger groups of enemies in smaller, more manageable doses.
